Thank you to everyone who responded to our request for feedback about the impact of the new bus timetables. Many of you shared experiences of inconvenience, increased costs and anxiety caused by the reduced service. We are very grateful to all who took the time to get in touch.
The Parish Council had already expressed concerns ahead of the changes about the likely adverse impact on residents (see https://lhpc.org.uk/concerns-regarding-proposed-bus-timetable-changes-for-littleton-and-harestock/). It is no consolation to say that, following your feedback, those concerns appear to have been well-founded.
We have now collated residents’ experiences, along with suggestions for improvement, and sent a letter to Stagecoach (Click to access). This has also been copied to the County Council, local councillors, relevant officials and our MP. We have asked whether more can be done to improve access to reliable and convenient bus services for our community.
