Welcome to your Parish Council website

Littleton and Harestock Parish Councillors are elected or co-opted to serve our whole community with up to 11 Parish Councillors. Councillors are unpaid, though we have a salaried Parish Clerk who supports the work of the Council. The Council keeps its residents up to date with a monthly e-newsletter.

The Council uses a small allocation from local Council Tax (called the parish precept) to fund our work, and ours is one of the lowest precepts in the district.  We use it to maintain and invest in the equipment of the Bradley Road playpark, the sports field on Harestock Road and the shrub borders outside Harestock shops. We also manage and maintain the Littleton Recreation Ground, including the playground and the Conservation Field, and we are grateful to the Sports Clubs for their continued support — both through their contributions to the general maintenance costs and through the efforts of their volunteers who help care for the sports facilities.

There are many other things we do which you can read about here (What we Do) to represent the interests of our community.  Anyone is welcome to learn more and speak at our monthly evening meetings at 7pm (see Meeting dates) which alternate between Harestock and Littleton. You can visit Parish Councillors for information about who your Parish Councillors are.
