Planning

Winchester City Council (WCC) is responsible for all domestic planning applications within the parish. The Parish Council review all applications and submit comments and recommendations to WCC but have no direct control over planning decisions. Most planning applications are straightforward and are decided by WCC planning officers using delegated powers. However, if deemed necessary, the Parish Council can refer controversial applications for discussion at the WCC planning committee meetings which are held from time to time.

Any individual may submit comments on a planning application. To do so, search for the relevant application on the WCC planning portal and select the “Comments” tab to make a submission. All submissions including those from the Parish Council can subsequently be viewed under the “Documents” tab.”

Winchester City Council publishes guidelines on making Planning applications. For more information, please visit their website here: http://www.winchester.gov.uk/planning/planning-applications
