TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

MAIN ROAD, LITTLETON

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Winchester City Council as agents for Hampshire County Council proposes to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for highway works to be carried out as follows:‑

 

ROAD TO BE CLOSED:

MAIN ROAD, LITTLETON between its junction with Valley Road and its junction with Bercote Close.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

Main Road, Littleton Road, Stud Lane, Andover Road North, Harestock Road, Kennel Lane, Main Road and vice versa.

 

ORDERS TO BE SUSPENDED:

None.

 

PERIOD OF RESTRICTION:

From and including the 1st February 2017 for a period of six months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 week)

 

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.

Small Grant – deadline 12 noon Tuesday 21 February 2016

Grants of up to £500 are available for one-off pieces of expenditure if on projects, equipment and other items which will help your organisation to do more, to reach more people, to provide better services or to try something different.

You may wish to apply for a health related activity, a new/additional piece of equipment for a sports club, promotional material for an arts event/project, or a community activity.

Decisions will be advised w/c 27 February 2017.  Monies are to be committed by the end of March 2017.  This is a fast track grant scheme, organisation’s must be able to provide the evidence and be able to turn around the grant award paperwork quickly (by mid March latest).
